By using our site, submitting content, or subscribing, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.



1. Our Service


Foilu is a crowd-powered storytelling platform. We invite users to submit real-life stories in audio/video form. These may be featured in collaborative films. We also offer a subscription service for exclusive content and features.



2. Account and Subscriptions


  • You must be 13+ or have parental consent to use Foilu.

  • Subscription services may renew automatically unless canceled in advance.

  • We use third-party processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle payments securely.



3. User-Generated Content


By uploading content:


  • You confirm you have the rights (including music/image clearances) to everything you submit.

  • You grant Foilu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable license to use, display, adapt, and distribute your content across any media.

  • We may edit your content for clarity, length, or tone, but we will not misrepresent it.

  • You understand your content may appear publicly and be included in monetized media projects (films, promos, etc.).


We reserve the right to remove or reject content that:


  • Violates copyright or third-party rights

  • Contains hate speech, nudity, violence, or personal attacks

  • Is misleading or misrepresents others



4. Content Removal & Termination


You may request content removal by contacting [email protected]. We will honor all GDPR-based deletion requests unless we have legal grounds to retain your data or content (e.g., if already published in a film).



5. Intellectual Property


All rights not expressly granted to users are reserved by Foilu and its licensors. This includes our logo, design, software, and editorial works.



6. Community Guidelines


Foilu is a human-centered storytelling space. We expect respect, honesty, and consent in all interactions and submissions. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or removal.



7. Limitation of Liability


Foilu and its partners are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from:


  • Use or misuse of the Service

  • Delays or interruptions

  • Unauthorized access to your data


Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you (if any) in the last 6 months.



8. Refund Policy


You’re covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee on paid subscriptions with the following conditions:


  • You must have actively used the service

  • Refund requests must include feedback on your experience

  • Abuse of the refund system may result in account suspension



9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction


These terms are governed by UK law. Any disputes shall be handled in the courts of London, United Kingdom.



10. Changes


We may modify these terms. Continued use of the Service means you agree to the updated version.
